Thank you all for the info on the Cinderella Label I posted here.. I'm kinda dumb when it comes to stamps and hate to put anything in auction without a little description.. This photo folder & stamps were in a batch from a Estate auction...it has a Official look to it... anything that might be of interest about it....

That’s very straightforward.
" Pravda víteží " means " Truth triumphs ".
The rest means “Commemorative papers* for the celebration of the Czechoslovakian Republic”.
*Papers would be whatever English word you think is suitable for what it actually is.

bonsoir postman,
research on both stamps in the 2007 scott catalog show this is not a FDC folder. both stamps were issued in 1945/6. the cancel shows a 1948 date. more than likely it was an event cover/folder.

Yes, it was for the for the celebration of the congress of the Czechoslovakian Republic.
Sorry I missed out a translation of "sjezdu", which means of the congress (it's the genitive of sjezd ).

Hello Cherwell & Cajunsr1 ,
Thank you for the info... Do either one of you think that there would be any interest if I put this in auction here and just what category would it go in--Stamps or Old Paper ...

The deed is done..Took your advice and listed it in Czechoslovakia. Appreciate the help...
bonjour postman,
i live in tampa. but was rooting for boston. i guess i could do the same for the phillies. i was stationed at fort dix, nj in 1968 and went though philadelphia a few times. a nice city, esp. for cheese steak sandwiches. but then the cuban sandwiches in tampa are nothin' to sneeze at. game one tonight for the world series, tampa bay rays vs. the phillies. take care and good luck on your sales.
